There are some new and pretty big rumors surfacing regarding Red Dead Redemption 2. A Reddit page has surfaced that supposedly shows a pre-order card of the upcoming game. It certainly looks very legitimate.
This is all leading to speculation that come Superbowl Sunday, Rockstar is going to release a brand new trailer of Red Dead Redemption 2 and also allow the game to be pre-ordered at Target. The official date that all of this is supposed to take place is on February 5th which happens to be Superbowl Sunday. Coincidence? That just remains to be seen.
While Rockstar has not made an official announcement regarding pre-orders of the game becoming available next Sunday, the fact that someone on Reddit showed a legitimate looking pre-order card makes it very convincing that this could actually be happening.
With all these rumors and things taking place with increased frequency, it certainly is putting more of an emphasis that Rockstar is starting to turn attention away from its beloved Grand Theft Auto V. Who can blame them? While the game still enjoys immense popularity, some people are hungering for a brand new Grand Theft Auto game or just any game in general from Rockstar.
The second Red Dead Redemption is already shaping up to be very promising. Some people though are finding it very questionable that Rockstar would release a trailer during the Superbowl especially one if any measurable length given the extremely high price tag of ads during the big game.
It’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility though as Rockstar has made lots of money from its Grand Theft Auto series especially GTA V. I certainly think its possible as Rockstar wants to let the masses know that this game is coming so that they can start getting a high amount interest towards it.
As far as pre-ordering the game, it is something I plan on doing but I’m just not sure I’d do it from Target as I traditionally don’t shop there. My avenues of pre-ordering include Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy.
We still don’t have an official release date of the game from Rockstar, but it is highly speculated that it will release sometime in October. I don’t mind waiting that long as it gives time for the developer to polish the game and make sure everything is set the way they want it to when it’s released to the public.
I still can’t want to see overall what the game is about and just how many characters will be in the game that we can control. Will it be very similar to GTA V and more importantly, will it have a very large multiplayer component to it as well? The first game was so good without multiplayer, but I think Rockstar would like to expand on it and make it online capable.
So what are your thoughts regarding being able to pre-order Red Dead Redemption 2 possibly on February 5th? Any thoughts on a potential new trailer being revealed of the game on Superbowl Sunday? Does anyone still play the original Red Dead Redemption? Post your thoughts below.
