Sony has finally announced the first official price drop of the PS4! The timing really couldn’t be better as it hits just right before the busy holiday season. The PS4 price range is now $350, down from the original price of $399.

If you haven’t gotten a PS4 yet and have been waiting for a price drop or more quality games to come out, especially open world games, now is definitely the time to pick one up as new open world games are on their way. The new Need For Speed will be out in early November and Just Cause 3 will be out the following month as well. Both look to be extremely fun open world games with lots of great content and action especially in Just Cause 3.

The Witcher 3 is also getting ready to have its first major downloadable content released titled Hearts of Stone. It is already getting great reviews especially from a recent review over at IGN. There’s so much content to this game that I still haven’t even fully gotten into yet and need to explore so I can give a proper review of the Witcher 3. There is also a new gameplay patch released for the game from the developers that has fixed many issues with the game and will give it better stability.

There are also going to be a lot more PS4 bundles coming including the Uncharted Collection bundle which if you never played the Uncharted series on the PS3, you will now get to on the PS4 as they have now been redone and look even more impressive on the PS4. The bundle will include all 3 Uncharted games and these should get you ready for the upcoming Uncharted 4 to be released next year.

There are also a lot more bundles coming such as a Limited Edition Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Bundle, Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront Bundle, and even a Disney Bundle. You can read more about those here.

So are you still on the fence on the PS4 and want to know more information about the system and what’s under the hood? Check out my post about info on the PS4 and what it is capable of.

Now that the PS4 has been out for awhile and has had time to establish itself, it has a good library of games out, lots more on the way, and plenty of features that make owing the PS4 worthwhile. A VR (virtual reality) headset is also coming that will be able to connect to the PS4 and open up new gameplay possibilities. If you don’t have a PS4, what are you waiting for? Go get one now!
