For those of you who like horror games, this is definitely one to play and it is kind of a unique take on the horror genre of games. This game is developed and published by Red Barrels and is a first person survival horror game.

The premise of the game is that your character, Miles Upshur a freelance journalist, received an anonymous tip that the asylum named Mount Massive Asylum is now being run by the Murkoff Corporation after the asylum had been closed for a number of years and that there are strange happenings going on there now.

The unique take on this game is that you do not have weapons of any kind, your only defense is to run and hide! The only things that you are equipped with is a video camera that also has night vision to help you see in the many dark areas of the asylum. The only drawback to this is that it uses up the battery and you will have to find more scattered about the asylum.

This is definitely a great game to play while you are waiting for some of the great open world games to come out. The graphics, atmosphere, and mood of the game is spectacular and will definitely cause you to jump a lot as you try to hide from the many scary things you’ll encounter in the asylum. It is available to buy and download on the PSN Network. I was fortunate enough to download this game for free since it was the game of the month for February.
