Here’s a great reason to buy The Crew. I recently talked about buying this great game at GameStop for the low price of $29.99. It was $19.99 a couple of weeks ago, but it looks like it was just a limited time sale and the price went up. Still though it’s not $60 so it’s worth buying at the price of $29.99. This is a massive open world racing game and the fact that you can now purchase the full game that includes the Wild Summit at such a low price just makes this a must have for open world and racing enthusiasts.
Now comes word that there is brand new content for The Crew coming later this year and it really looks to be a really fun and edge of your seat addition to the full game. The Summit added some exciting new events and vehicles to the game as well as weather effects.
This new content titled “Calling All Units”, has to do with cops and a new gang of street racers that have moved in. The FBI wants it shut down and whatever nasty business it’s in as well. You can read more about it here at the official site.
You might be wondering why there is an expansion coming out like this when there are already cops in the game. While it is true that cops are already in The Crew, this expansion brings it to a whole different level.
For one thing, according to the official site about Calling All Units, it adds 12 new missions to the game. There are also exotic and fast cars that will be at the disposal of the law, and upgrades you can add that will give your vehicle nitro as well as other things that you can use such as an electromagnetic pulse.
Even though this seems very similar to another open world racing game from a couple of years ago (Need For Speed Rivals), it will still be a very welcome addition to the full game of The Crew. You also have to remember that you have the full map at your disposal so it should make for some interesting and fun challenges.
I also like that you can find hidden crates and try to bring them back to certain locations all while trying to outrun the cops and you’ll have unlimited nitro at your disposal.
There’s still some time before Calling All Units is released as its release date is slated for November 29th. Good new is that there are some brand new open world games coming out before then will help tide you over until this new download is released.
It is possible that there could be a price tag with this new expansion as I believe there was with the last one, but if you have bought a season pass I believe you are safe from having to pay anything for it.
There is a video (from the YouTube channel of TC9700Gaming) below of the gameplay of Calling All Units which will give you an idea of what to expect when this released. Let me know what you think of the video!
As always, check back for any new updates of The Crew’s newest expansion and other news regarding open world games.
